Crud took one listen to 2005’s ‘Nolita’ album and immediately fell in love with Dutch-Israeli-Russian lass’s smouldering existentialism and her eerie way with a tune. Now Keren Ann is back.
New album ‘101’will be released in the UK on 4th April. Described by the label as an ‘intoxicating and remarkable record’, ‘101’ marks a shift in direction for the acclaimed singer-songwriter.
The follow-up to 2007’s eponymous album, ‘101’ is Keren Ann’s sixth studio album and her third for EMI and was recorded in Reykjavik, New York, Paris and Tel Aviv.
Written, arranged, produced and engineered by Keren Ann it features choirs, string sections, horns, synths, pianos as well as a full band.
