Antony and the Johnsons are due to release the ‘Swanlights’ EP on April 26 through Secretly Canadian. The EP includes a remix of the title track by Oneohtrix Point Never as well as two exclusive b-sides. The video to Swanlights has been directed by Antony’s sister, Sara Hegarty and contains excerpts from the forthcoming film ‘The Last Hymn’ featuring Sierra Paris.
Antony describes the idea of swanlights as “the reflection of light on the surface of the water at night and the moment when a spirit jumps out of a body and turns into a violet ghost.”

The EP comes hot on the heels of the ‘Swanlight’ album released last October. Fans are also advised to look out for a special edition of ‘Swanlights’ that includes the CD inside a 144-page hard cover book containing Antony’s paintings, collages, photography and writing. The album and book are said to be a continuation of Antony’s work exploring his connection to the natural world.
